Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have officially ended their engagement.
Reports surfaced a couple months ago that the duo were on a break, but now the split is permanent. "Yes, the engagement is off," Bilson's rep tells PEOPLE, but declined to provide details on the breakup.
Distance was reportedly one of the main reasons for the split. With Bilson primarily in L.A., and Christensen in Canada, "It just wasn't working out," says a pal of the actress.
Now Bilson is "focusing on her career, spending time with her family and just moving forward," adds the friend.

Her personal life has had its ups and downs in the last year but professionally Sandra Bullock couldn't be hotter – or richer.
The Oscar winner, 46, has been named Hollywood's highest-paid actress by Forbes magazine, with an estimated $56 million in earnings from June 2009 to June 2010.
And Bullock, who was the eighth most powerful star in the magazine's annual Celebrity 100 list, sits at the top for a good reason: Her romantic comedy The Proposal grossed $320 million at the box office on a $40 million budget and The Blind Side scored an impressive $310 million.
Reese Witherspoon and Cameron Diaz tied for No. 2 on the list, which was determined by the stars' upfront pay on movies they are currently shooting, in addition to back-end pay given after a movie was released. The magazine also factored in earnings from perfume and clothing lines and ad campaigns.
Jennifer Aniston raked in with $27 million, followed by Sarah Jessica Parker with $25 million and Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie each with $20 milllion.

Everybody loves a celebrity wedding. From the size of the engagement ring, to what dress she wore on the big day, people want to know every bit of info (even though most celebrity ceremonies are very hush hush). When two celebrity stars align, the masses want to know EVERYTHING and when two mega stars wed, no amount of info seems to satisfy the public's need for all the juicy details.
US Weekly reported yesterday that Alicia Keys has tied the knot with her long time boyfriend, rapper/producer Swizz Beatz. According to the reports, the hip-hop super-duo exchanged vows this past weekend in a top-secret ceremony off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
US Weekly’s web site posted pictures of the couple, with Keys wearing a cream-colored Grecian-style gown, and Beatz sporting a classic white tuxedo.
The couple has been together since 2008 and Keys is currently pregnant with their first child. This is certainly the definition of a power-couple as far as the music business goes, and possibly a power family if the little one inherits the parents' skills. Swizz Beatz, aka Kasseem Dean, has collaborated with many of today’s biggest artists, including Beyoncé, Drake and Lil Wayne, and is currently working on his third album, "Life After the Party," to be released later this year. Keys is a 12-time Grammy award winner, and released her fourth studio album, “The Element of Freedom,” in 2009.

If it wasn't for her grandmother, Lady Gaga might not be the huge star she is today.
"All I will say is I hit rock bottom, and it was enough to send a person over the edge," the music phenom, 24, tells Vanity Fair for its September issue. When it came to her drug use, says Gaga (real name: Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta), "My mom knew the truth … she said, 'I'm coming to get you.' "
Together, mother and daughter went to Gaga's 82-year-old grandmother's house in West Virginia.
"I cried. I told her I thought my life was over and I have no hope and I've worked so hard, and I knew I was good," the star recalls. "What would I do now? And she said, 'I'm gonna let you cry for a few more hours. And then after those few hours are up, you're gonna stop crying, you're gonna pick yourself up, you're gonna go back to New York, and you're gonna kick some ass.' "
Gaga, who's known for looking after her fans, also made sure to issue a warning that her "little monsters" don't copy her behavior.

So I've resorted to writing about Kourtney Kardashian and her idiot baby daddy Scott Disick. All is not well in the land of love for these two. While we know this relationship is completely forced because Scott's a douche and gives good TV, we find it sad for Kourtney who has to live a lie.
Things were not looking too happy for TV couple Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick. Kardashian was spotted walking five steps behind Disick on their way into Southampton eatery Sant Ambroeus Sunday. Then they sat in silence. When we asked about their weekend, Kardashian snapped, "It was fine."
Duh Wouldn't you snap if you had to keep yourself around a doucher 24/7?
